2140:

  • Ideal for long shafts up to 40" (1,000 mm) and chuck work up to 21" (533 mm) diameter.
  • With constant surface speed.
  • ± 0.0002"(0.005 mm) repeatability.
  • 15 hp (30 minute duty rating) spindle motor with programmable spindle speeds; 4 torque ranges 25 to 2,000 rpm.
  • Every machine is laser verified for ± 0.0005" (0.01 mm) positioning accuracy over full X and Z axis travels with resolution of 0.001"(0.002 mm).
  • Easy loading and unloading of work pieces
  • Greater flexibility provided by the open configuration.
  • Full automatic lubrication throughout.

2180:
  • Heavy duty geared head with spindle mounted on three (3) bearings.
  • 3-point support and two (2) taper adjustable roller bearings. The head is lubricated by cool and clean oil from a pressure pump located in the base (not an oil bath head).
  • Extra large 3-1/16" (77.76 mm) spindle bore with a D-18 spindle mount.
  • Four torque ranges (gear changes) with constant surface feed thru the full rpm speed range of 25 – 2000 rpm.
  • Ultra-rigid bed casting mounted on cast iron pedestal. All four ways (two 'V's and two flat ways) are induction hardened and precision ground. (Much better than inserted two bed ways).
  • Z-axis with the 2½" (63.5 mm) precision ground ball lead screw is the largest in it's class and definitely keeps the tool in the cut for a rigid and smoother operation.
  • X axis is supported with a heavy-duty full length slide riding on Turcite stick-slip anti-friction surfaces.
