Dorian high quality, 8 station, fully automatic or manual turrets make tooling easy, thus allowing fully automated machining.

The bed design features 2 "V" and 2 flat ways, which are induction hardened to provide maximum life and then ground to allow for precision carriage movement along the Z axis. All slides move on Turcite Linear Anti-friction bearing material. The carriage and cross slide are designed with adjustable taper gibs to maintain long life and high accuracy.

In "teach mode" the handwheels allow the operator to produce the first part manually and "save" each machine move as the part is turned. The part can then be turned automatically under CNC control. If needed, the machine can be operated as a standard manual lathe.

By utilizing the finest in its class ball screws, Republic-Lagun CNC turning centers provide positioning accuracy of ±0.0005" (±0.01mm) over full X and Z axis travels and positioning repeatability of ±0.0002" (±0.0051mm). Accuracies of every machine are laser verified before shipment

The Constant Surface Speed feature automatically adjusts the speed rate as the part diameter varies. This - combined with the availability of 4 gear ranges - allows for maximum flexibility and productivity, while ensuring high quality parts and longer tool life.
