- This 16,500 lbs. (7,700 kg.) Vertical Machining Center is the heaviest of its class
- This is the only machining center of its class equipped with Heidenhain® glass scales for X-Y axis positioning - no compensation required. The scales are self-purging on the Y-axis to avoid contamination.
- This machine has FOUR rectangular square box ways (not built with linear track bearings) that provide contact over a large surface area for maximum vibration damping and rigidity. The FOUR box ways are also hardened and ground with virtually friction-free Turcite® liners on all gibs and way surfaces and with full length lubrication over the way surface preserves accuracy, extending machine life eliminating machine stick slip.
